Due to Van & Cristina's broad appeal and adaptability, Dueling Pianos 2GO has successfully headlined at over 40 charity events in the last 10 years. When the performers are Van & Cristina, the phrase "Direct from Las Vegas" tends to draw greater attendance and subsequent funding for the charity. Also, the performers contribute all gratuities collected during the performance to the event's charity. At a hospital foundation fundraiser in Montrose, Colorado, for example, this amounted to $505. In September 2007, Van & Cristina raised an additional $2882 in their tip jars for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cascade Country in Great Falls, Montana.
Since 1997 Van & Cristina have appeared at
approximately 40 charity events, including three, consecutive years at the
Silicone Valley Charity Ball in San Jose, California, opposite Bill Cosby,
Tony Bennett and The Smothers Brothers; and 8 consecutive years for the
annual Rutherford House Fundraiser in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 2005,
Van & Cristina are entertaining at events for The American Cancer Society and
the Junior League. In 2007, we entertained in Hong Kong, China at the
centennial celebration for a children's hospital.
